Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using duun. By using duun, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
The Service
duun is a personal task app for creating, organizing, sharing, scheduling, and syncing tasks across devices. Some features may be experimental, limited, or available only on paid plans.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens through your account. Use accurate account information and do not share access in a way that bypasses device, plan, or security limits.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, abusively, fraudulently, or in a way that threatens duun, other users, or third-party services.
Acceptable Use
-
Do not use duun to break the law, violate rights, or harm other people. -
Do not attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or integrations without authorization. -
Do not interfere with service reliability, security controls, rate limits, billing systems, or authentication flows. -
Do not upload malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities, or use automated access in a way that degrades the service.
Your Content
You keep ownership of the tasks, notes, comments, and other content you create in duun. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
If you share a task, invited people may be able to see and interact with content made available by that sharing feature. You are responsible for sharing content only with people who should have access.
Plans And Billing
Paid plans, trials, renewals, cancellations, and payment processing are handled through our billing provider. Prices and plan limits may change, but changes will not apply retroactively to charges already incurred. You are responsible for taxes or fees that apply to your purchase unless the billing provider collects them directly.
Third-Party Services
duun may connect to third-party services such as authentication providers, billing providers, AI clients, and calendar providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. You can disconnect optional integrations where the app provides that control.
If you authorize an AI client or managed app such as ChatGPT, that client may use duun tools within the permissions you grant. Depending on those permissions, the client may read task content and may create, edit, move, complete, delete, share, schedule, or update notes on tasks. You are responsible for reviewing prompts and confirmations before asking an integration to perform sensitive actions.
Calendar integrations are optional. If you enable calendar sync directly or through a scoped MCP/agent integration, duun may create, update, or delete calendar events for schedules you choose to sync, and may read availability information to help you plan around existing calendar commitments.
Availability And Changes
We aim to keep duun reliable, but the service is provided as available. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when needed for product, security, legal, or operational reasons.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, duun is provided without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, duun will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to duun for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you have not paid for the service.
Termination
You may stop using duun at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or if we are required to do so by law. After termination, some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, except where consumer protection or privacy laws in your location require otherwise.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms as duun changes. When changes are material, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continuing to use duun after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
